In 2009, Side Bar, San Diego’s original VIP-style nightclub re-opened after a $1 million dollar renovation led by Davis Ink. the $5,000 square-foot popular lounge and club, engulfs your senses with the design focus being a throwback to the sexy-side of the 1920’s the wall feature classic to modern painting of nudes, scattered around the front of the lounge, which playfully invite guests to come farther into the space. Thirty deep red birdcages dangle from the ceiling above furniture that is an eclectic mix of worn velvets, leathers, and silky blacks.
Bottle service tables consist of deep red diamond tufted custom sofas, over which hang three giant custom chandeliers with a backlit acrylic image of vintage nude seen behind strands of crystal. In front of the bar lies a red dance floor and an unexpected oversized birdcage DJ booth to spin the latest tunes.
