The world of clubbing and nightlife often bets on excess and provocation to draw attention. Entertainment in circles over the top is what you would expect from a nightclub, and Ad Nightclub in San Diego keeps all its promises. Space is presented in a colourful mix of references to buildings and to Christian iconography designed by the (heavily tattooed) team of Davis Ink. Architectural elements such as rosettes, arches, portals and pulpits populate the dance floor with private rooms and the adjoining bar.
Approaching issues like this can always lead to criticism and accusations of blasphemy, but AD Nightclub looks so carefree and pop that it has become in a very short time ( it first opened its doors less than a year ago) one of the most popular clubs in California.
