Anaheim’s Fusion Café has reopened as Fusion Ultra Lounge after a 30-day reconception by award-winning designer Davis Krumins of Newport Beach-based Davis Ink.
Krumins, a former Hot 25 honoree, is responsible for projects such as the Stingaree in San Diego and The Kress in Hollywood. Moe Elkhatib, Fusion Café’s owner, partnered with veteran hip-hop manager Enas Barkho to reinvision the space, which draws regular visits from hip-hop artists Cypress Hill, Xzibit and Snoop Dogg.
“We wanted to break away from the reputation hookah bars have for being dark and dingy and make Fusion Ultra Lounge a hip, mainstream and fun place to be,” says Elkhatib. “We also introduced something new to the community – a spot that, by design quality, could easily be located in Hollywood or Las Vegas.”
